Discover Scuba Diving

Duration: 2x Half a Day
Prerequisites: No diving experience needed, swimming skills required. The medical statement needs to be reviewed and the answers to all the questions must be negative, otherwise you need to be cleared by a diving physician

Price: 150$
+ Additional dive 50$ (Guest decide on the boat if they wish
to do the second dive)

Day 1: You meet your instructor in the afternoon at 3:30pm. Together, you go through basic dive theory ; pressure change, equalization, equipment use and general diving knowledge. You then enter the pool to become comfortable with the equipment and being in the water. Here you will also practice the most important skills involved in diving and swimming with scuba equipment. This normally takes between 1 – 2 hours.

Day 2: You and the instructor that you practiced with the day before head to the boat ready to dive. The maximum depth for the dives is 12 meters. There is no requirement to reach 12 meters and the dive can easily be conducted at a shallower depth. This generally depends on the conditions and comfort level of the diver.
After the first dive you can decide to do an additional dive (for the additional fee of $50). If you don’t want to do the extra dive, you can spend the second session snorkeling with a  guide. This is included in the price of the course!
Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification course but a chance to experience the pleasures of scuba diving and see the amazing underwater life of Mnemba Atoll.
